Blokus Review

The Game of Blokus come with a gameboard which has 400 squares, 84 playing pieces (in 4 colour varieties) and instructions.

The goal of the game is to become the winner by getting rid of all your pieces first by strategically placing them onto the board.

When placing a piece it must be touching a corner of one your pieces already on the board but it may not lie adjacent to any of your pieces.

Not only are you trying to get rid of your pieces but you are also trying to block your opponent(s) from placing their pieces.

This is hours of strategic fun for the whole family.

There are a number of different game types that keep the game fresh and allow for fresh spatial thinking.

Other game types include Reverse Blokus (the person who places the least amount of pieces wins), Draft Blokus (Players use more than one colour) and Solitaire Blokus (One player tries to place all their pieces in one sitting).

While the rules are simple to understand, the gameplay can become quite complex. It is so popular that it is played in professional tournaments.

The whole family will have hours of competitive fun with the great game known as Blokus. Blokus can be played with two, three or four players.
